Christopher Federico

Executive Director

Christopher Federico is the current Executive Director of Project SHARE, taking over the position from Steven in 2020. Chris began working for SHARE in 2015 as a seasonal field season crew member and became full-time in 2017 as the large wood project manager. As the large wood project manager, he and the field crews have added more than 2,000 pieces of wood into 50 sites. Additionally, he has worked with a variety of partners on large wood projects, remnant log drive dam removals, and culvert removals/replacements. Before becoming full-time with SHARE Chris worked as a temporary services fisheries technician with Maine DMR assisting with Atlantic salmon population monitoring and habitat assessment. Chris has completed training by the US Forest Service in Natural Stream Channel Design and Engineered Log Structure Design. Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in fisheries biology with a minor in geographic information systems from University of Maine Machias and an associate degree in culinary arts from Eastern Maine Technical College. Chris’s past job experience make him a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, including baker and line cook, van and boat driver, ATV and snowmobile mechanic, paving crew member, and gis technician.
